TRI-COLOR! SANCERRE BATTLE: RED vs WHITE vs ROSE

BARRAMUNDAYS, WINE & VINYL
Spring is HERE..

Crazy weather has ever been a sure sign of Spring in NYC- one day warm and sultry, (Sauvignon Blanc, anyone?), and the next crisp, sunny and blustery, (a light Pinot Noir, perhaps). . And of course, let's not forget Spring's queen, Rose!

Tonight, you can celebrate Spring's charming and changeable nature by sampling three Sancerres from Domaine Sautereau: Red, White, and Rose. All 2010, a pretty good year as well, according to those who know, especially if you like your Sancerre to taste like Sancerre: that is, with a high minerality and acidity.

Domaine Sautereau has been making Sancerre for nine generations, and David Sautereau has made 2010 Sancerres using only wild yeasts, which should in theory yield a strong sense of place, as well as heightened clarity and freshness. Let's find out!

Paired with Twig Wheel raw goat/cow's milk washed rind cheese, (West Cornwall VT),  from Saxelby's Cheesemongers, in the Essex Market.

DJ Ilmo brings the cool loung-y tunes on vinyl all night long.

Tonight!
at Barramundi
67 Clinton St
