It's Beer Can Appreciation Week...Who knew ! So all this week enjoy Brooklyn's Sixpoint Sweet Action in  a can for only $6!

 

 Though the brewery opened in 2004, the Sixpoint symbol has been associated with breweries since the middle ages. Sweet action is an original Sixpoint style as it harmoniously combines different types of beer.

It is part pale ale, part wheat, part cream ale- all Sweet Action.

Schneider Weisse Bier - $6 a bottle

G. Schneider & Sohn is a Bavarian brewery company founded in 1872 by Georg Schneider I and his son Georg Schneider II, after they acquired the Weisses Brauhaus in Munich, the oldest wheat beer brewery in the city.

Flying Dog brewery was founded in 1990 in Aspen Colorado and moved to Maryland in 1994. Sweet malt body contrasted with pine and grapefruit hop flavors. FOOD PAIRING: Coppa Charcuterie, Bucheron Cheese, Frankfurter

Maredsous Brune - $8 a bottle - usually $9

Produced by monks in the Abbey of Maredsous  in Belgium, based on an original Benedictine recipe and supervised by none other than the Aboot Bernard Lorent.
Belgian brown ale with expressive aroma and caramel bouquet with masterful fruity touches

Young’s Double Chocolate Stout - $8 a bottle - Instead of $9!

 

Established in 1875, the Wells & Young Brewing Company is the UK's largest Family Owned Brewery. Take Pale Ale with Crystal malt, Chocolate Malt and hops to make this amazing stout. FOOD PAIRING: Nuts, Olives, Dates and our somewhat bizarre British sandwich - marmalade & sausage!

CHIMAY BLUE - $8 BOTTLE

 

Produced since 1862 by cistercian monks (also known as Trappists), this delicious ale is brewed inside the monastry under the supervision of the monks.

Traditionally only produced for the Christmas holidays this is a typical Trappist Dark Ale with tinges of yeast and caramel overtones.

Food Pairing: Bratwurst, Camembert

BROOKLYN WINTER ALE - $5 PINT - USUALLY $6

ANCHOR STEAM BIG MAPLE - $5 A PINT - USUAL PRICE $6

One of the US' oldest breweries.  Established 1871 by German brewer Gottlieb Brekle.

Anchor Brewing remains one of the most traditional breweries in America, a pioneer of the craft brewing movement.

This is a distinctive red ale brewed with maple syrup which is quaffable, well-balanced with a lot of character. 

You can taste two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.
